BEAUTY | MY CURRENT MAKEUP ROUTINE

OK, so the last time I shared my makeup routine was last year?! Wow, how dare I? My routine has changed a lot, tbh. Now, I'm focusing on hydrating as well as taking care of my hormonal acne-prone skin. If you read my blog for a long time, I have never struggled with acne before. It started back in 2022. I was very stressed because of the hormonal acne. Yet, my stress caused more. So it's basically an endless cycle. 
I would love to share my skincare routine (as well as my skin cycling) but I haven't found the perfect routine yet. So, let's be patient! I'm still experimenting here and there to find the right one for my skin condition.
Anyway, let's move on to my makeup routine. The routine is similar to my last one, but some of the products have changed. Either I found the better one, or it suits more with my skin condition. 

BEAUTY | EVERYDAY PRODUCTS

Ever since I moved to Bali, my skincare and makeup routine changed. The first few months, my skin breakout really bad and it made me stressed. I changed my skincare routine, from facewash to sunscreen, everything to find the perfect one. So far, skincare is still a mystery,
However, my makeup routine was fairly simpler. I only need 15 minutes to do my daily makeup, nonetheless add a few bits such as blush and eyeshadow probably add 5 minutes more. I quiet happy with my go to makeup and it's all thanks to these makeup goods.

BEAUTY | HIGH-END MAKEUP PRODUCTS

Di post sebelumnya aku membahas soal high-end skincare, hari ini aku ingin membahas tentang high-end makeup yang kualitasnya luar biasa tapi memang harganya bikin gigit jari. Semoga apa yang aku tulis disini bisa jadi bahan pertimbangan buat kalian, ya!

Untuk skincare, kadang aku masih 'gak masalah' kalau harganya mahal selama itu cocok di kulitku dan hasilnya juga sebanding dengan harganya. Tapi kalau untuk produk-produk riasan, aku sebenarnya lebih memilih untuk membeli produk drugstore atau produk lokal yang harganya lebih terjangkau. Kenapa? Karena dipenghujung hari, makeup juga dihapus. Jadi sayang kalau membeli produk mahal yang gak bertahan lama. 

Tapi... bukan berarti aku gak mencoba sama sekali. Banyak produk high-end yang kualitasnya luar biasa, kita harus lebih selektif saja membelinya. Misalnya ada lipstick yang harganya diatas satu juta rupiah, tapi buat apa ya kan? 

Berikut ini adalah produk-produk riasan dari high-end brand yang menurutku kualitasnya sebanding dengan harganya! 

BEAUTY | SIMPLE EID MAKEUP

This year's Eid will be very different from the previous ones. I can't celebrate with my big family because we're quarantining. So instead of celebrating together at my Grandma's house like our tradition every year, this year will involve heaps of video chat, from FaceTime to Zoom. We all still feeling grateful because technology nowadays is so advance. 

Today I want to share the Eid makeup look that is very simple, easy to do and still enhancing your beauty. Remember, Eid is not about showing off but showing your inner beauty and peace.

BEAUTY | HIGH-END SKINCARE PRODUCTS

Kalau mengobrol soal skincare atau makeup bermerek high-end, pasti ada rasa ragu atau cemas tentang kualitas produk-produk tersebut, 'yakin bagus nih? harganya kan selangit, sayang banget kalau ternyata harga tidak sebanding dengan hasil!'. Aku beberapa kali kecewa dengan produk-produk dengan harga yang menguras kantong tersebut, tapi, gak jarang juga benar-benar puas dengan hasil akhirnya! 

Sebenarnya membeli produk skincare atau makeup tergantung pada kebutuhan kita sendiri. Biasanya aku membaca ulasan dari produk tersebut sebelum membeli, kalau 4 dari 5 ulasan yang aku baca setuju dengan kualitas produk, aku mulai yakin. Ketika membaca pun perhatikan apakan si pengulas memiliki jenis kulit yang sama dengan kita, tinggal di kota atau negara beriklim sama, baru deh mikirin harganya.

Kemudian, aku juga membiasakan diri membaca kandungan formula yang terdapat dalam produk tersebut. Ada banyak bahan kimia yang harus kita hindari karena bisa merusak pigmentasi kulit bahkan mengakibatkan penyakit kulit seperti kanker. Bahan-bahan tersebut adalah parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, toluene, sulphates, silicone, dan lain-lain. 

Buatku, skincare itu semacam investasi karena efeknya jangka panjang, makanya aku lebih berhati-hati soal skincare. Sementara makeup kan hasilnya langsung terlihat tapi efeknya juga jarang banget yang jangka panjang.  

Berikut ini adalah produk skincare yang menurutku hasilnya sebanding dengan harganya. Kalau kamu memiliki jenis kulit yang sama denganku (normal cenderung kering dan sensitif) mungkin bisa mencoba produk-produk di bawah ini! 

BEAUTY | MAKEUP SWAKARANTINA

Hai! 

Siapa yang selama swakarantina masih tetap dandan? Aku! Pasti banyak juga kan ya yang sama kayak aku, biarpun diam di rumah tapi gemas aja ingin dandan. Buatku, makeup itu terapeutik dan isolasi mandiri bisa bikin aku merasa terkekang dan stres karena cemas nonton berita soal covid-19, belum lagi stres karena melakukan rutinitas yang diulang terus menerus di tempat yang sama selama... mungkin udah hampir 3 bulan, ya? 

Hari ini aku ingin sharing sama kalian produk lokal dan produk terjangkau yang aku suka banget dan menurutku kualitasnya bagus, gak kalah sama produk high-end! Makeup ini aku pakai kalau mau ke ruang tamu atau nonton tv-series, atau untuk nulis blog di teras sambil ditemani kucing-kucing kesayangan ;) 

BEAUTY | TARTE TARTELETTE IN BLOOM PALETTE REVIEW

Recently, I got a new palette that I've been wanting for so long. It is the Tarte Cosmetics Tartelette in Bloom palette. I absolutely fall in love at first sight with this palette. The colour combination is so gorgeous! 

BEAUTY | BLUSH MAKEUP LOOK

I love how the weather has been doing lately. It's pretty sunny in the morning and then rainy in the afternoon. I feel like it's a perfect excuse to be cosy up on the oversize jumper or put on the big denim jacket. If you live in a tropical country, jumpers and jackets are not the options when it's 32-degree Celsius! 

With this kind of weather, I like to keep my makeup has a bit of pop up colour. A little bit on my eyes, cheeks, and lips. Almost like a monochrome look. So, I want to share what products I used and how my go-to makeup lately. It's easy, simple, but still, add so much colour to my face!  

BEAUTY | MINIMAL MAKEUP WHEN YOU'RE SICK

I've been feeling under the weather for the last two and a half months. I'm getting treatment and such so now I'm getting better but still in a lot of pain especially in the chest and head. During those months I also had to out and about and of course, I did not want to be seen as a sick, pale girl. I found some ways that worked to hide my sickness.

Well, not every single day I use makeup. This is the look that I'm going for whenever I go out like running errands, go to uni, or hang out with my friends. Pretty much the look that I feel I'm most comfortable with. 

To achieve this look, I need maybe ten to fifteen minutes depending on what kind of documentary or TED talks video I watch. I love watching something educational but also easy to understand. Sometimes, I also listen to the podcast. Or sometimes, watch random YouTube videos. You know, it all depends on the mood.

UNDER 200K MAKEUP: EVERYDAY LOOK | DRUGSTORE MULTIPURPOSE MAKEUP PRODUCTS

Hello, everyone! 

Today I wanna share my everyday makeup look using only drugstore products and very low budget! These products I'm showing you are affordable and I'm going to try to make these as multipurpose products. This look is of course is for everyone because it's fresh, very natural but still gives your face definition.

This post is also a part of some kind of collaboration / challenge with my best friend, Asri Nuranisa. She shares bunch of interesting stuffs, you should go check her blog here! 

All the products are new purchases, the brands are also not something I usually bought. Here are the first impression review and how I make them as multipurpose product!

VANITY: 5 MINUTES DAY TIME MAKEUP ROUTINE

Whenever I'm late, I always grab these 5 magic products to save my day. The products below are in my opinion quiet good and stay almost 12 hours without giving me oily shiny look during the day. 

• Concealer: Revlon Colorstay Concealer

I use this concealer to cover dark circles under my eyes and the redness that I have. This product is surprisingly good. It is very similar to Maybelline Fit Me Concealer but the formula is lighter so I think it's perfect if you don't have much skin problem. Note: use the shade that really close to your natural skin tone or at least 1 shade lighter than your skin. Mine is 02 Light.

• Powder Foundation: Revlon Two Way Powder Foundation 

My life saver! This compact powder is definitely my holy grail face powder! I have no idea what they put in here but the formula is such an amazing thing I've ever tried. I've used this powder foundation for half year and so far, I don't have any problem with it. It gives a light coverage and also gives you natural fresh looking face. Note: use the shade that really close to your natural skin colour to get perfect coverage. Mine is 01 Ivory. 

• Mascara: Benefit They're Real Mascara

Don't pass on mascara! It can make you look much more wake up and makes your eyes bigger and POP! If there's any makeup that I can't live without, it is mascara. Call me mascara freak because I am. Note: don't forget to curl your lashes first and add a generous amount of the products to make your lashes ticker and longer.

• Blusher: Silkygirl Shimmer Duo Blusher

For someone who has pretty much pale skin, blush is a mandatory. For everyday use, I like to use something that really soft and light tone like this blush. This is a local product and I think pretty good for such a cheap product. Note: I'm not sure if this product still available at the counter or drugstore, I got this blusher 1,5 years ago. 

• Lipgloss: Make Over Liquid Lip Colour

Personally, I don't really like super bright lip colour for day time but I need something to make my face fresher and happier (I look like a sick person because I really pale), I choose to use lipgloss which is Make Over Liquid Lip Color in Fructis Peach, the colour is so soft and fresh looking!

GET READY WITH ME: THEME PARK MAKEUP LOOK

Some people said it's not make any sense to put makeup on your face when all you want to do is have fun. Wrong. Because, we do want to have fun and have great pics coming out, right? So those happiness moments won't go wrong by dark circles under your eyes, or your acnes and blemishes. 

So, ladies, stop lying to yourself and admit it. Even when you go to the theme park, you DO your makeup but keep it simple and by simple I mean 'NO MAKEUP MAKEUP LOOK'.

VANITY: REVLON COLORSTAY WHIPPED CREME MAKEUP

Being a big fan of Revlon, I like to try their new products but for foundation, I prefer to stick with Revlon Colorstay Foundation. Earlier this month, I ran out my foundation so I went for buy a new one. Unfortunately, my shade (sand beige) was out of stock. So I decided to try this product and surprisingly, it's pretty good.

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup is a foundation with mousse-like texture feels silky against the skin, with a "time release" formula that balances skin for a flawless long-lasting look. Provides medium to full coverage and withstands heat and humidity.

Hello Beautiful People!! 

2014 is over! 

This year has been a really great year for me. I've been through ups and downs and those things made me. Seriously, I feel like who I am now is really different from who I am in last years. 

I've changed in good way. I eat healthier and also my health is slowly getting better and better. I read more books than last year. I got my first internship in one of the best International school in Indonesia. I'm happier than I've ever been before. 

But I'm not going to talk about me, don't worry ;) 

I'm going to talk about things that I think the best throughout this year. Not all the stuff here is released in 2014, but great stuff that I've been loving in entire year or new to me. 

WHAT'S IN MY MAKEUP POUCH

Whenever I go, I always have my makeup bag with me. It is like the essentials for me after wallet and my phones. 

I'm not over bubbling in this post, so here's the inside of my makeup pouch: 

I got this cute pouch from local online store with pretty good price for a good quality. I really love the flowers and it has a soft material too. The best thing is the inside has softer material and hopefully can keep my makeup safe.

1. Chapstick: I would never leave my house without lip balm or chapstick! If I left it at my house, I have two options: either is buy a new one or going back to my house. I have the dry lips and I think it's gross too. So moisture my lips is a must. Currently, I'm using Kiehl's Facial Fuel Moisturizing Lip Balm 
2. Lip gloss: I'm not a huge fans of shine lips but on those special days I don't want to put any lipstick on my lips so I'll go with lip gloss. I've been carrying NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural which is work really great for me. It's a nude shade for me but still working. 
3. Lipstick: Yes. I bring two lipsticks with me on daily basis. Don't blame me, I have reasons. So, my go to lipstick is Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 001 Pink Truffle this product is amazing and I love it so much! It gives my lips natural color, almost similar to my natural lip color but also refreshing your look and also moisturizes your lips. It works on day or night and... I love it. I can't find the better word to describe how much I love this lipstick. I use this almost everyday, weird? Yes but I love it!! And for the second product, still in the same brand because Revlon has incredible lip products, I carry Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in 065 Rosy Nude don't get tricked by the name, this lipstick is not a nude color at all. It's pinkish -  reddish color and it really great for night look. On some days, I don't have much time to get home before I leave for another occasion so my magic trick is lipstick ;) 
4. Compact Powder & it brush: I hate shine face - oily, greasy, ewww... that's really not working for me at all. It's not dewy but disgusting. That's why I always carry my Maybelline Clear Smooth Pressed Powder to avoid shine during the day. It really helps to refresh your face especially when you need to go somewhere else after long day activities.
5. Concealer: I don't have many problems on my skin to be cover up but I do have dark circles under my eyes and that's never look good. Of course I cover it up before I leave the house, but I never understand, it always gone and I need to retouch (but I don't retouch if I don't need to go somewhere else). I hate retouch my face, especially when I still at campus because I don't think I need it. It's okay to show the world your flaws. Everyone has flaws. But I bring this Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser in Medium just in case I need to meet someone or people, or need to go somewhere. But you know me, I'm such a badass moody person. 
6. Travalo: this little lady is a new addition to my makeup pouch. I got this from local online store and really happy with this thing. I've been looking for some ways to get it because my country doesn't sell this kind of stuff. I almost bought it on eBay but I found that shop first so it is easier for me to buy at online store. I fill my travalo with Victoria Secret Bombshells in Bloom and I've been using this perfume this past 3 months. I can't get over it.
7. Mascara: 99 % in actuality I'm bare face and four eyes but I keep mascara just in case because you know girls... so, right now I'm having Benefit They're Real Mascara. It is amazing and works for my upper and lower lashes.
8. Contacts & Eye drops: just in case. I'm pretty blind without my glasses or contacts on
9. Small Mirror: girls need to have this in their pouch or bag. You don't want to have something stuck on your teeth and you don't know it and worse, your friends don't know how to say it to you. You better know it by yourself right? 
10. Hand Cream & Hand Sanitizer: you know me guys... I would never leave my house without these two as well. In case you're wondering even thou I've talked about them billion times... my hand cream is L'occitane Almond Hand Cream and my sanitizer is Bath & Body Works in Japanese Cherry Blossom.

CURRENT FAVORITE MAKEUP LOOK

In actuality, I'm 99 % bare face and four eyes but I do like little change and this makeup look is my current favorite. 

I had so many family events, friends meet ups, and I found this makeup look matched with every single event. Oh! All of the makeup products are drugstore makeup so it's easy to get. I hope you enjoy this post as much as I do.

MAKEUP PRODUCT REVIEW: NYX BB CREAM

HELLO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!

I wanna share my thoughts about this new product - well, for me - with all of you! 

Instead of wearing foundation, I prefer to wear BB Cream during the warmer months. BB cream is the perfect choice because it has a light weight and gives you a perfect amount for coverage and I just discovered this newest product - to me - from NYX and this product is amazing! 

MAKEUP LOOK

I posted a selfie on instagram & tumblr and some anonymous asked me to do makeup tutorial for this look. I'm not confident enough to make a video tutorial but hopefully, this text post will helps you ;)

This look is basically almost my "on to go look" because it's very simple and not too much for me. I don't do my makeup every single day, well, in reality I'm 95 % bare face and four eyes, maybe only put lip gloss or mascara, but really, I don't do my eyebrows or do eye makeup very often.

I do my makeup when I have an event to attend, hanging out with friends or family, or... whenever I'm in a mood to take a selfie with makeup on. Yeah, you know...
