*written in Indonesian

Hai!

I finished this book within a day - no, actually less than 20 hours. None ever recommended this book, I'm glad this book found me. It was on my iBooks for so long, only God knew when I downloaded it. As long as I can recall, I love the cover. The idea of simplicity and purity, yet seems to reach out for you as it can actually speaks its story. Maybe this was why I had it for so long. I don't know.

So, I read it sometime around 11 p.m.-ish, scrolled down to find something to read before go to bed and I just picked it up randomly. In few pages, this book already pulled me in. Like, really made me wondering what's going on here?

Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone is a book about Samantha McAllister, a popular girl at her school who is actually hiding her OCD and intrusive thoughts. She looks very normal with driving cool car, doing makeup, a swim athlete, but also mastering at acting and keeping secrets from her best friends. Not everything we see is the truth, right?

The story about mental illness, how to cope with that, how it affected our personal life, how people react to it, there are so many books about that and I've read that. But honestly, I've never read a book about mental illness this honest, raw and beautifully written before - not about OCD, at least. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Every Last Word teaches me about how to outshine my own darkness.

If there's a sentence written on my forehead, it would be like this: ask this girl when she's getting married

This question started back two years ago, when I just graduated college. From where I live, the traditional trajectory of adult life goes like this: go to college, meet the one in college, graduate college, get married, have children, live happily ever after.

God, please help this girl.

So, when I graduated college, people started to ask "when I'm going to get married?" as if my bachelor degree in Education with great GPA that was enough to earn not one, but five letter of acceptance from prestigious universities in UK, US and Australia was not big deal.

When people comment on my instagram story, when I'm hanging out with my family or friends, they have this obligatory to ask: where's your boyfriend? or you haven't moving on, have you?

Then... Every single time I go to a wedding (family, friends, colleagues, etc) - read carefully, every single time, there are people there, waiting for me to ask the most important question they have, that they're going to die if they didn't ask with those smiles and judgmental eyes, "when are you going to get married?", "where's the ring?", "where's your fiancĂ©?" and any other variations of the same question that is tickling my ears so disgustingly. As if there's no ring on my finger is some kind of cancer.

More so, when I continue my master degree, people say, you're over do with your education that's why you don't have time for relationship. What? Seriously? As if my intention, my passion, my motivation, are not something to look up to. As if, a girl who chooses to be well educated, be smart, is not someone you should want to be.

After awhile, instead of getting used to, it's gotten to the point whenever I go, I just don't want to see people in the eyes. It makes me feel insecure and anxious. Every once in awhile, I ask myself, when I'm going to get married? or why I haven't found the one? I feel embarrassed how left behind I am because some of my friends are already married, or at least engaged. Then, I get really angry. I thought I'd be going insane.

Most people ask nicely enough, but after 1 million time you've heard it, it becomes very annoying, disgusting and intrusive. It implies, my achievements in education, my passion, my dreams, are not something that great enough to celebrate, at least, deserve to be congratulated. I'd rather to answer a question about my cat, or my school, or where I'm going to be next year. Anything but that question, honestly.

Sure, they might be curious on my personal life, but I keep my personal life for myself and closest ones and I want to keep it that way. I don't have to make a poster said that I have moving on. I don't have any obligatory to explain everything to anyone. Just because I don't share it on my social media, doesn't mean it's not happening.

From my perspective, marriage is not something you should forced. Everyone will get married eventually, it's just the matter of times. Everyone will get their best chances and whenever it is, none should've questioned it. And by none, I mean, nobody. Not a single person on earth should asked when other people are going to get married.

Why? Because everyone has different goals, different life paths, different intentions. I'm still young and to be frankly honest, right now with the state of commitment that I have, I want to focus on my education, my career, loving people rightly before I decided to get married. I want to be young and free, to live my life to the fullest, because I know what I want, what I'm going to do, what my goals are. I will be married, one day, but not today, not tomorrow, maybe not even in this year.

Because marriage is a personal thing and every personal thing shouldn't be asked. It happens between two people who are in love, not between a person and society. It's more than just a ceremony, more than a beautiful ring on a finger, more than invitation, more than legal document.

So, here's my humble request. Please stop asking me when I'm going to get married. It's so annoying to hear. Ask about my education or my career because slow and steady, I'm reaching my highest point so far and I want to be appreciated.

I personally believe the life we have created, the person we're becoming as continuously a work in progress, the person we're evolving, is enough for ourselves. There's no need to ask the label, the binding legal documents. It should be enough for everyone, shouldn't it?

Thanks for reading! xx

For some reasons, this post never made it on my feed. I don't know why but I created this post back in the 17th (as you can see on the picture below). This is my typical Sunday morning at home, when I don't have any plans to hang out or anything, just chill at home and working on my blog. I thought I want to show you guys a glimpse of my chill Sunday morning in pictures. Hope you guys like it ;)

How's your Sunday morning? Wish you have an amazing day and amazing week ahead! xx

The last time I shared 'what's in my bag' was back in 2015 and things have definitely switched around. When it comes to everyday casual bag, I like to keep it simple with neutral color so it fits with everything I wear. I got this handbag from Bershka and I think it's very simple, handy but still fits everything I need when I'm out and about. The nude color is also perfect for everyday because I like to keep my style simple and neutral. In terms of things that I carry around, I also like to keep it handy but still necessary.

Wanna take a peek inside my bag? Here's what I have for most of the days ;)

To say that I don't love makeup as much as I love movie would be such a vast understatement. I'm a junkie for both and I have no shame about it. If you know me, or at least, read my blog quite often, you know I love Marvel so much. Although I didn't read the comics, I do watch every single movie they have from the worst to the best so far.

A friend of mine told me that The Face Shop, a well known Korean beauty brand released an entire range of their collaboration with Marvel. What did I do? Of course I checked it out! As I did my research, they have from eyeshadow palette, mascara, eyeliners, lipsticks, nail polishes, cushion foundation (of course, we're talking about K-beauty), and complete skin care for men.

I am so impressed with how speedy this K-beauty brand to adapt their product from one of the biggest comic-movie based imprints. I thought, it should be American's makeup companies. But hey, no hate, I love what they do! I figured, Marvel is also well known at Korea. To be frankly honest, the only product that really catch my attention is the Captain America inspired cushion foundation. The eyeshadow palette is kinda okay, some basic color they have nothing impressive. I'm not a big fan of K-beauty mascara and eyeliner either. I'm basically not a big fan of K-beauty makeup product but I have this urge, no, desire to at least try this range. Even if I didn't like it, the packaging is so darn gorgeous, isn't it?

My skin is freaking out lately - it gets drier and also breaking out every now and then, although I'm not on my period, it happens. I figured, it's because the weather is getting worse, so hot on the day and later in the evening it's pouring rain.

Here are products that I've been using constantly to help my skin heals.

L'occitane Hydration Face Mist - this product is so good! I keep repurchasing, just to have it handy at my home in case I need it, like these days. The formula helps to moisturize and heal dryness and even sunburn (I once had a really bad sunburn few years ago, and this product helped so quickly!). I don't use it as my regular face mist, but I do like to use it when my skin is at its driest.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer Gel - I know I supposed to use the lotion one, but honestly I hate the feeling of it. The lotion feels too thick on my skin, makes my skin sticky not like the Moisture Surge one. However this gel one is absolutely amazing! It makes my skin smooth, moisturizes it well and of course, my skin is getting better now.

Laneige Water Bank Essence_EX - I like to use this product before my moisturizer and wait at least one to two minutes so the product sinks into my skin. It moisturizes my skin really well. I'm no longer have dry patches on my skin.

L'occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil - like I said, my skin is angry these days. I literally have dry skin in all over my body and it's not something I'm proud of. I even have dry patches around my armpit area. Thank God, this product existed! It really helps to moisturize my skin. I love to use this product right after shower and use it as my regular lotion before bed. Next morning, my skin is so smooth!

What's your current favorite products? Let me know! :)

Hello? How are you? Yes, I mean, how do you feel after Game of Thrones season 7 finale?

Yeah, it's quite heartbreaking but also satisfying

I finally finished this review. It took me quite long time because first, I rewatch the entire season 7. Second, I need time, okay? It's hard for me to wait until 2019. If you're an OG fan like I do, you would know. We've come so far. We've been through a lot. Like, a lot.

Raise your hand if you're traumatized by Game of Thrones!

Not quite sure how to start to review this season so I'm just gonna say it. I love it as much as I love the previous seasons. It's epic, for sure, but still, as we've come so far, I expected more.

Before I jump into the review, I want to mention that this is a spoilers filled review. If you haven't watch the season, or maybe the series, you don't want to read this post. I also proudly say this is my second collaboration with my best friend, Asri, go check her blog as well ;)

Friendship, in my perspective, is not defined by how often you talk to someone or you meet him or her. It's not always about sharing the same hobby or similar personalities. No matter how long you've know her or him, friendship can happens.

Based on my personal experiences, friendship needs mutual respect and loyalty. It builds on mutual feelings: trust, care, and respect. If your friends don't have those three, then they're not your friends at all. You need to trust, care and respect them as much as they are. Friendship is a two way connection. It has to be equal because you can't build friendship only in one side. It has to be two sides working together equally.

Friendship must make you better person in every aspect: better learner, worker, lover, daughter or son, or parent maybe.

However, some circumstances can test the friendship you've built, like for example: distance. You or your best friend move to another city, country or maybe continent. It really is testing your friendship.

My very dear best friend, Rika, moved to Australia last January. It was really hard for me, because I'm one of those people who tend to rely on people I love and she's one of them for sure. It was hard for her, too. The first two months, every time we called on FaceTime, I cried. I was crying like a baby, and I had no shame on it. Long short story, we used to be apart. It's not that hard now that we've found ways to maintain our friendship healthy and strong.

Maintaining faraway friendship is challenging. It's not easy, of course, but it is not impossible. Being away from your best friend doesn't stopping you from being a good person they need. It doesn't mean to stop being close. As I learned to maintain mine and Rika's friendship, it just needs to figure out new ways to cope in.

Here are lessons I've learned about having my dear best friend being 5000 km away:

Whoaaa... how long is it been since I shared my go to makeup look? I can't even remember! Recently, I've been loving the way I wear my makeup. If you know me, you'll know I always go for simple, natural makeup look. For the past two to three months, I've been embracing what I have. I barely wear makeup, to be honest.

If I do wear makeup, this is what I look. It's so easy, so natural, and most importantly I feel good about myself.Without further do, let's hop into the tutorial... well, sort of ;)
