I love how the weather has been doing lately. It's pretty sunny in the morning and then rainy in the afternoon. I feel like it's a perfect excuse to be cosy up on the oversize jumper or put on the big denim jacket. If you live in a tropical country, jumpers and jackets are not the options when it's 32-degree Celsius!

With this kind of weather, I like to keep my makeup has a bit of pop up colour. A little bit on my eyes, cheeks, and lips. Almost like a monochrome look. So, I want to share what products I used and how my go-to makeup lately. It's easy, simple, but still, add so much colour to my face!

The Base

I haven't been using foundation as much as I used to be, so for coverage, I use a tinted moisturiser to give more moisture and protection to my skin. I use Natio Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 in neutral to even out my skin tone as well. Then to cover up dark circles, I use my all-time favourite, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer as well as cover up any imperfection on my skin. The key to maximising the flawless makeup look is to use the right powder. I found this Bourjois Healthy Mix Powder is the perfect key to set everything in place.

The Look

As for the eye look, I use the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty palette. For the base, I use love all over my eyelids. This is the subtlest, gorgeous pale pink and it is actually almost similar to my skin tone so it works perfectly. Then I carefully apply sunset and create a softer, nicer, colour on the outer eyes and my socket area as well. I build up the colour so it appears more subtle. I also apply a little bit of this colour on the under-eye area to match up the look. To finish the makeup look, I apply a generous amount of L'oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise on my upper and lower lashes. For brows, I just fill them in with the Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil.

The Colour

To bring back life to my skin, I subtly contour my face with Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow To Go palette. The contour colour is the perfect one for my skin tone. For highlight, I combine the two colours together and apply them to the high point of my face such as cheekbone, browbone, the bridge and the tip of my nose, my cupid bows, and a little bit on my chin. For blush, I use Benefit Dandelion blush on the apple of my cheek and a little bit on the centre of my forehead and chin as well. I found this way creates a softer face look.

Finally, for lipstick, I go a little bit extra this time. I use three products. First, I apply MAC Lip Pencil in soar all over my lips. Then I dab a little bit of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in sandalwood Beige at the centre on my lips to tone down the rosy colour. To add some gloss, I use Lancome L'absolu Lacquer lip gloss in 274 beige sensation.

I honestly love this makeup look. I think it's the perfect daytime glam for casual occasions such as brunch or hang out with friends. Also, it doesn't take a long time to achieve this look too! How's your current go-to makeup look?

Love, Vera
