(MORE) TV-SERIES TO WATCH IN ISOLATION

Here we go again! Another month, another tv-series recommendation for accompanying you on quarantine. But, seriously you guys, how are you doing? I'm doing okay most of the days, but you know, some days are harder than others.

My way of coping up with this whole pandemic situation is either I'm binge-watching or I don't at all. There's no in-between. How about you?

Here are some of the series I've been watching during isolation. Hope you enjoy it as much as I am.

TV-SERIES TO WATCH IN ISOLATION

It has been... how many days? I lost track of days and time now! Isolation (or quarantine, or lockdown if you will) can be tough but if you look on the brightest side, this is the perfect time to catch up some tv-series/shows you probably haven't watched yet or haven't had time to start.

I've created a list of combination of tv-series genre for you to watch during isolation. Let me know if you have more recommendations!

TV SERIES | GAME OF THRONES - FINAL THOUGHTS (SPOILER REVIEW)

Copyright to HBO
I started watching HBO's masterpiece back in 2011, a few months late since it aired. A friend of mine recommended this show to me. I was binge-watching and finished the show within a few days. Yep, I am crazy that way!

I love Game of Thrones! I don't think I've ever had this much patience to stay loyal and keep watching a very violent show. If you know me, you knew I hate violence at all cost. Every so often, too often even, I closed my eyes and felt sick afterwards. But the idea of this show, the complication, the characters' stories, everything about this show but the violence asked me to keep watching. So I did.

There are so many great things about this show. I'd say Game of Thrones is one of the greatest shows of all time. That being said, the plot was so fine. Yes, this show has so many characters with a different and complicated story. Drama, action, mystery, murders, and dragons. Magical isn't it?

Not only the plot but the characters development is probably the best I've ever seen in a show. It's hard to choose a favourite because everyone has their own great time to shine. Everyone came from their lowest to their highest moments and it felt like we were there. It's also hard to hate everyone because they had strong reasons to do what they did - except for Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson), that little shit. One thing that easy? Everyone was so memorable.

The acting, no doubt. The visual? What a masterpiece! They shot the entire show in Ireland and studios but truly, everything seemed like in the other world. So beautiful and magical! The same feeling that I got when I watched the Harry Potter franchise.

TV SERIES | STRANGER THINGS 2

Back in 2016, when the first season of Stranger Things aired on Netflix, the world binged about it for months. Myself included. I wrote the spoiler-free review for season 1.

The first season is mind blowing, like I said, it's like Stephen King meets Steven Spielberg with a bit advice from Stanley Kubrick. Season 2 is a level better than the first in terms of the storyline, production and character development. Let's talk about it further.

This post contains lots of spoilers for season 2 (and season 1 as well), so if you haven't watch the series, you might want to skip this, or not, your choice ;)

TV SERIES | GAME OF THRONES SEASON 7 (2017) - SPOILER REVIEW

Hello? How are you? Yes, I mean, how do you feel after Game of Thrones season 7 finale?

Yeah, it's quite heartbreaking but also satisfying

I finally finished this review. It took me quite long time because first, I rewatch the entire season 7. Second, I need time, okay? It's hard for me to wait until 2019. If you're an OG fan like I do, you would know. We've come so far. We've been through a lot. Like, a lot.

Raise your hand if you're traumatized by Game of Thrones!

Not quite sure how to start to review this season so I'm just gonna say it. I love it as much as I love the previous seasons. It's epic, for sure, but still, as we've come so far, I expected more.

Before I jump into the review, I want to mention that this is a spoilers filled review. If you haven't watch the season, or maybe the series, you don't want to read this post. I also proudly say this is my second collaboration with my best friend, Asri, go check her blog as well ;)

MY THOUGHTS ON 13 REASONS WHY TV SERIES (2017) CONTROVERSY

It has been nearly two months since 13 Reasons Why aired full episodes on Netflix. The response had been huge internationally. People from all around the world watch and talk about this series - those who have read the book years ago binged to read it again, those who haven't read the book compete to get their hands on the phenomenal book by Jay Asher.

But, unfortunately not every one agree with the idea of showing what it looks like to be bullied and the idea of preventing suicidal in younger viewers. Some people said that, the series is provocative, it glamorizing drugs, bullying, and suicide instead. Some even said the show is dangerous.

I have read and watched this story and even share my thoughts on both (book review - series review). I love the book. I love the series as well.

Few weeks ago, I watched an interview of the series cast and creators. I totally agree with the producer that said "People need to gain awareness of how important it is to be understanding towards other people. How important it is to be kind." I totally agree with that.

Bullying, drugs, and suicide are not the new issues. It has been here for so long and people seem to pretend they're not familiar with it. I grew up in a pretty much healthy neighborhood where there's no drug addicts, no bullying, not suicide case. But at school, bullying is real. It happened to me, to everybody else. It could be happen to everyone in different way.

For me, both the book and the show did not glamorizing anything but to raise awareness of humanity. The show has been truthfully following the original story, although they changed some parts but it's okay. I'm sure I'm not the only one who agree with this.

TV SERIES | 13 REASONS WHY (2017)

Back in 2014, I wrote a 13 Reasons Why book review and was hoping it made it to the big screen. This is one of my favourite books, no doubt. I even thought about who played who. That's how much I wanted to see this book came into screen.

Dreams do come true, right?

2017... instead of come into big screen, the story of Hannah Baker comes into Netflix with 13 episodes which even better than movie!

TV SERIES | SHERLOCK SERIES 4 (2017) - SPOILER REVIEW

Greeting all Sherlockians out there!

I thought today I want to solve cases because now that the long awaited series 4 is finished, I think it's the best time to share everything so we don't get death threats. Alright, shall we begin?

A little disclaimer, all theories are mine. If there's mistake, that's on me. Maybe I missed some things. Also, this post might be very long.

TOP 5 TV SERIES

Hello, Everyone!

First of all, I really want to apologize for being such a terrible blogger. also not replying to those messages on my tumblr. Not trying to make excuses but... I've been enjoying spend my time with my family and friends, catching up to things I left behind and of course, put everything in my life back together because you know, quarter life crisis.

Second of all, my computer broke. True story. That was a nightmare because it decided to be broken when I was on my final exams, I still working on the last two exams. I was so stressed out! And... It's hard to not working on my laptop because all I have left is the PC that is two hundred years old *being dramatic per usual* so hard to export pictures, so yeah... it's okay. it's gonna be fine.

But...

On the bright side, I managed to catch up on so many TV series. By the time I realized that I watch too many, I decided I want to share with you guys! I like to share, remember?

So, here are my best 5 TV series. Enjoy ;)

STRANGER THINGS | SPOILER FREE REVIEW

Hello!

I never shared my view of TV Series, have I? When I finished this series for the first time (and by the time I share this review, I already watched it twice. No kidding!), I'm so in love with this series and grateful for Netflix

Stranger Things is a Netflix original series with 8 episodes. Yes. I want more! This series is created by Matt and Ross Duffer, the typical mini series with around 55 mins run time. A sci-fi series like no other. It's like Stephen King meets Steven Spielberg with a bit advice from Stanley Kubrick. I swear, this series will makes you stay up all night to finish it!

CINEMA: TV SHOW OBSESSIONS

This month, I'm not going to talk about movie because, firstly, I don't watch any movies. Surprise? Yes, you should be because I'm! It's quiet odd for me as a person who claimed as a movie lover. This month of May, I don't have any intention or mood to watch any movies and I don't know why. Secondly, it's boring to talk about movie all the time, right? So, in this post (and yes, I'm fully aware that my may posts are coming up pretty late than usual) I'm gonna talk about TV Shows.

I have a lot of strange addictions to movie and tv show. I guess because I love watching! And it is obvious to everyone around me and people on the internet.

  • TV Show

Talking about tv shows (reality show, talk show, etc), I can say that I'm a huge fan of The Ellen Degeneres Show!! This show is always talkative, communicative, and interesting to watch! Ellen is a truly beautiful person inside and outside. She has this specialty to talk to people in every way, either it is very serious or spill smart jokes!

The show is pretty much different from other shows I've ever watch. It invites interesting people like celebrities, heroes, or just people who are famous in internet. What I love the most about this show is it always show different side of people, like who really they are. And also, this show inspires people to do the goods. It doesn't show any cheap gossips or rumours.

  • TV Movie

I like watching tv movies at Lifetime channel. Well, I know they are mostly super super cheesy and easy to guess but hey! We're here talking about good tv movies.
Some of my favourite tv movies from Lifetime are:

  1. Dollangager series : Flowers in the Attic, Petals on the Wind, If There Be Thorns, Seeds of Yesterday
  2. Dead on Campus
  3. Killing Daddy
  4. A wife's nightmare

  • TV Series

I watch too many tv series! I watch almost every TV series on earth. But don't blame me, my parents and my sister are also enjoy with tv series. So we're basically love watching.

Some of tv series that I still crazy over are:
  1. Pretty Little Liars - I know some people stop watching because they got bored to find out who the hell is A but I don't. For me, finding A is one of my life goals. Now, we all know that there's  someone who can be a big A, Charles and I'm dying to know what his motive is!
  2. Supernatural - beside I'd love to see Dean's charming and slay character, I also weirdly enjoy this series with all demons and things gone wrong.
  3. Game of Thrones - I'm all about this kingdom y'all!
  4. The Flash - can't say I like this series yet, I'm on episode 2
  5. iZombie - woo hoo you go, Rose McIver! She rocks the platinum hair!
  6. Bates Motel - Norman! I don't usually watch twisted family but since Bates Motel (and Dollangager series), I do.
  7. American Horror Story - can't wait for new season with Lady Gaga on it!!!!
  8. New Girl - this series is getting funnier and more complicated but I really like it!

Also, I'm looking forward for Scream Queens. I watched the trailer and it seems pretty interesting, well sorority is always interesting, right?
