A DAY IN LIFE

Let's spend a day-off with me! I don't always do this on my day off, but occasionally I like to pamper myself as a self-reward after working so hard. Especially in the past few months, a lot has happened and this type of day is very much needed. It was a nice sunny day so I decided to do some errands!

As per usual on any day, I started my day by doing my skincare routine. After my husband left for work (he didn't get the same day off as me), I made our bed, cleaned up our space and also did the laundry. Once everything was in place and neat, I did my makeup and got dressed.

The first on my pamper day to-do list was to do my nails. I found this press-on nail company called Eze Nails on e-commerce and ever since I have stopped getting my nails done at the salon. The one I used this time was dusty rose. The colour compliments my skin and is definitely perfect for everyday colour.

The first destination: bookshop

If you know me, you know I love reading. I have back into the routine of reading one book each month, even though with my job and everything that's been going on, it's kinda hard lately. I have some e-books that have been sitting on my TBR for quite some time, but I'm in the mood to read physical books. Don't you agree that physical books are better than the digital ones?

Next stop: yummy food

From the bookshop, I went to a nearby cafe called Cretya Lite. I have been meaning to try this cafe for quite a while now but because the area is always packed with traffic, it's pretty a big no for my husband and me. So, while I was in the area and also walking (even though it was scorching hot!) I decided to go there. I ordered their famous big brekky, and it was 9/10! Everything was well-cooked and delicious. Defo gonna come back there.

As I had some time before my appointment, I read one of my new books If Cats Disappeared From The World by Genki Kawamura. I love it so far!

Destination #3: spa

On any of my pamper days, I have to have a spa appointment. This time, I went to Ubud Bodyworks Centre and booked myself a 90-minute deep tension massage therapy. Oh boy, that was amazing! Started with feet washed and scrubbed with herbs and continued with massage. After the session ended, they gave us ginger tea and papaya slices. I don't like papaya, and I asked if they had other fruits but they didn't that day.

Last destination: hair salon

The last stop of my errands was the hair salon that was right in front of our place called Arimas Salon. I booked for hair spa treatment. With Bali's humidity and heat, my hair definitely deserves the thorough treatment as well. I always do a hair mask once a week at home, but getting your hair professionally done is something else.

It was relaxing and full of endorphins day for me. I had time to get away from life basically and did everything I love. How do you usually spend your pamper day?
