WHAT'S INSIDE MY OVERNIGHT BAG

The best thing about the overnight trip is you spend less time to pack and unpack! I personally love packing but unpacking is another thing. Although it's just for one night, you'll need clean clothes and of course some key toiletries.

I prefer using a type of duffle bag because it fits everything really well. This handy medium size denim duffle bag from Seed Heritage is so pretty and goes with every outfit! It can be your overnight bag or your sports bag, you choose!

Are you planning on an overnight trip as well? If so, here's what inside my overnight bag and I hope it gives you an idea on packing yours! Please be considerate while travelling during this pandemic, always wash your hands, stop touching your face, wear facemasks, and bring hand sanitiser with you.

Ps: I'm not travelling outside the city, it is just a staycation with my family. We booked pretty villa up the hill to refresh our minds. This pandemic really takes a toll on us.

Clean clothes

Because this is an overnight trip (staycation if you will), I only pack pyjamas and clean outfit for the next day. Before packing my overnight bag, I usually check the weather app to give me an insight on what to wear for the next day and also to give me preparation, will I survive with hijab and jumper in that humidity? something like that.

Towel

Either staying in hotel or Airbnb or wherever I always have my own towel at least for my face. I'm a germaphobe and having this anxious feeling, thinking that they might be not really washing the towels freaks me out.

Makeup Pouch

I always bring my makeup pouch even for an overnight trip, only to bring essentials such as eyebrow pencil, concealer, compact powder, blush, mascara, and lipstick. I don't want to spend my morning doing makeup while I can spending more time with my family during our staycation. These products only to make my face less pale and more presentable whenever someone has camera points at us (my family loves taking pictures!).

What I use:
MOR Boutique Cosmetic Bag
Benefit Cosmetics Precisely My Brow Pencil #6
Too Faced Born This Way Concealer #Light
Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Powder #01 Vanilla
Benefit Cosmetics Dandelion Blush (mini size)
Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Mascara (travel size)
MAC Cosmetics Amplified Lipstick #Brick O-la

Toiletries

This is a must. To be honest, I don't really like using freebies from the hotel - most of the times I get an allergic reaction from the soap or shampoo they provided so I rather bring my own as well as my basic skincare routine.

What I use:
Brunbrun Paris Cactus Pouch
Wellbeing Lavender Body Wash (I couldn't find the exact product anymore, but this one is similar!)
Mitchum Women Clinical Powder Fresh Deodorant
Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild (travel size)
Tarte Maracuja Oil
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater
Kiehl's Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner (travel size)
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel
Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration

Gadgets + charger

If you bring your camera, just make sure to fully charge the battery before you leave the house. I don't bring the charger because the battery can save up to two days even when we use the camera all day. This overnight trip, I only bring my phone charger and also a portable charger just in case.

Water bottle

Stay hydrated on the way is a must! I prefer to bring my own water bottle, first because it's more practical. Second, I've stopped purchasing water from mini market and such. Let's be more cautious to the environment ;)

Pandemic starter pack

Facemask and hand-sanitiser. Yes. They're the new flex.
