TV-SERIES TO WATCH IN ISOLATION

It has been... how many days? I lost track of days and time now! Isolation (or quarantine, or lockdown if you will) can be tough but if you look on the brightest side, this is the perfect time to catch up some tv-series/shows you probably haven't watched yet or haven't had time to start.

I've created a list of combination of tv-series genre for you to watch during isolation. Let me know if you have more recommendations!

1. Westworld (2016-)

Where to watch: HBO
The number of the season: 3 (29 episodes)
Why:
This is the perfect series I've ever watch! The consistency of the storyline, characters development, and each season's goals is just amazing. PS: you have to really take time to watch this series because of how much clues and theories that will build upon your mind while watching.

2. Brooklyn Nine-nine (2013-)

Where to watch: NBC, Netflix
The number of the season: 7 (144 episodes)
Why:
This is the perfect series to pick up if you need to laugh! An intelligent but childish detective, a smart but OCD woman sergeant, a muscular but softy lieutenant, a supportive but unfortunate best friend, a gay captain, B99 has everything in the plate and somehow very relatable. Noice!

3. Fleabag (2016-2019)

Where to watch: BBC Three, Amazon Prime Video
The number of the season: 2 (12 episodes)
Why:
You are going to laugh so hard on every episode - but also a good cry! This is probably the funniest series I've ever watched in my entire life! Phoebe Waller-Bridge is just one brilliant lady <3

4. Chernobyl (2019)

Where to watch: HBO
The number of the season: 1 as a limited series (5 episodes)
Why:
This series is so brilliant! It tells you a story about the explosion at Chernobyl nuclear power plant from every person that involved. The storytelling is so thorough, it made me felt like I was there and experienced the whole thing.

5. Santa Clarita Diet (2017-2019)

Where to watch: Netflix
The number of the season: 3 (30 episodes)
Why:
Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant are perfect in this light-hearted, no brainer series. I love a story about a little family with an interesting life path. Being a zombie? A murderer? A cult leader? You name it! PS: Netflix cancelled the season 4, I know. So rude!

6. Bodyguard (2018-)

Where to watch: BBC Three, Netflix
The number of the season: 1 (6 episodes)
Why:
This show is an absolute roller-coaster from the beginning until the end! The storyline is brilliant with twists and turns that you wouldn't expect!

7. American Vandal (2017-2018)

Where to watch: Netflix
The number of the season: 2 (16 episodes)
Why:
I really enjoy watching the entire two seasons. This mockumentary is for everybody who wants something easy and light to watch with very interesting cases to follow, also a good laugh! I'm surprised the show is not hyped at all.

8. Defending Jacob (2020-)

Where to watch: Apple TV+
The number of the season: 1 as a limited series (ongoing)
Why:
This is the proof why some novels better off be a series rather than a movie. So far, the four episodes keep making me wanting more and more. Also, everyone in this series is really good!

9. Kingdom (2019-)

Where to watch: Netflix
The number of the season: 2 (6 episodes)
Why:
I'm not a big fan of zombie movie/series. I've stopped watching The Walking Dead after three episodes on the first season because it grossed me out. However, this series capable of making me endure. It still very gross (it's about zombies, duh!), but the storyline is blown me away. So good, you have to watch it! Ps: this series is also one of many reasons why you should start watching Korean drama/movie.

10. Servant (2019)

Where to watch: Apple TV+
The number of the season: 1 (10 episodes)
Why:
If you like M. Night Shyamalan, you have to watch this. Although it's not as intense as his other works (because he's the producer, not the director), this show is still really good! The classic Shyamalan camera angles, sound effect, and of course, the twisted storyline. I absolutely enjoy this show and hoping there's another season coming up!

I still have more tv-series and docuseries recommendations and will definitely share it with you guys in the next post! Meanwhile, stay safe, healthy, and please stay at home! Xx

Love, Vera
