BEAUTY | MINIMAL MAKEUP WHEN YOU'RE SICK

I've been feeling under the weather for the last two and a half months. I'm getting treatment and such so now I'm getting better but still in a lot of pain especially in the chest and head. During those months I also had to out and about and of course, I did not want to be seen as a sick, pale girl. I found some ways that worked to hide my sickness.

A good, moisturising skincare

In simple steps, you'll get your glow back! First, never skip gentle cleanser. Not only creates a clean, softer canvas for your makeup, wash your face help you to feel fresher.

Second, moisturising face mist. Whenever I'm sick, my skin is always dry. Instead of toner, I choose face mist to give fresher sensation and still do the work. However, if you have oily skin you might want to use oil-free face mist or even mattifying face mist.

Last, moisturiser. Never skip giving your skin some moisture especially when you're on medication. Some drugs have side effects on your hair and skin - mine do! So I will make sure to apply some moisturiser to my face, neck, and the rest of my body.

Simple, minimal makeup

If you are strong enough to do a bit of makeup, please do. Psychologically, for some people doing their makeup is kinda therapeutic. More than that, when you see yourself kinda put together, at least look so fresh, you will be in a good mood. I'm not talking about full-on makeup. Only four steps and you're done.

Start with doing your eyebrows to frame your face. Just fill in any spare area, make your arch looks nicer. I'd recommend using a softer colour but still close to your hair colour.

Then, cover any redness, dark circles, or acnes if any on your skin with concealer and blend it well with your finger tips. This way, you'll create a softer face makeup.

Next, put on some blush. When you're sick of course you're pale and some sort of losing your glow. I'd use rosy blush to bring life back to my skin. Last, I'll take a bit of red lipstick on my fingertip (or lip brush) and dab it to my lips. This way, I create a softer, fresh lip colour.

Before I leave, I'll spritz some of my favourite perfume on my neck and wrist and I'm ready to go ;)
